

This month, we welcome Beth to the Kangaroo Kids Jumper Spotlight. Beth is a very accomplished jumper, an outstanding teammate and student. Let's spend some time with Beth.
How did you find Kangaroo Kids?
I found jump rope right around 1st grade when I first moved here with my grandparents. A couple months in, we went to a festival/carnival and saw jump rope (Kangaroo Kids) performing. The coach (Mr. Mac) gave my grandparents a brochure, and a couple weeks later, I was trying out.
What are your favorite routine(s)?
My favorite routine was when I first joined, “Dr. Jones”. Then I learned “Wild One”, I fell in love. I also enjoyed the Team Show routine “Playing with the Boys”.
What's one of your best jump rope memories?
My favorite memory out of 1,000 memories is when I qualified for stage for the first time at Galveston, TX 2010.
What schools have you attended and what's your favorite subject?
Triadelphia Ridge (1-4), Dayton Oaks (5), Folly Quarter Middle (6-8), and I am currently at River Hill High School in tenth grade and loving the subject of Biology.
What are your favorite foods?
My favorite foods are mac and cheese, hot dogs, Fuji apples, pasta (ALL KINDS), meats and seafood.
Who do you admire in the world of sports?
I admire Tori Boggs. I admire her because of her talent and of her sportsmanship towards others during competition.
What are some of your other interests?
Cheerleading, dancing, lacrosse, and POMS.
Who are some of your favorite artists currently on your I-pod?
Skrillex, all country singers, and a lot of pop singers.
