Parent Board Meeting

TOMORROW Thursday 12/18/25 at 7:15 pm

Topics to be discussed: parades, new online registration, upcoming shows, our competitions, time changes from Jan to March, join in and listen or share ideas! We need you too! 



REGISTRATION! NOW OPEN FOR NEXT SEMESTER:

NEW - it’s online through HCRP. This is for your second half of year payment. Each family getting this email needs to pay for the second half of the year. These links are NOT published in the book, or online. They were made especially for us. 

Payment is due by January 5. 

So go online and pay for the one or two links that you need to. Let me know if there are any questions about this. (PLEASE IGNORE DAYS OF WEEK AND START TIMES ETC. THIS IS JUST A LINK, YOU KNOW WHEN PRACTICES ARE)  If you need to contact HCRP to pay, email me. Kangaroo Kids will not accept any registration paperwork, it is now all online, or you contact HCRP. New from HCRP-they have now incorporated a fee for credit card payments. This is not from Kangaroo Kids, nor do we get a portion.



TRAVEL TEAM:

Please sign up HERE to bring an item to share on Dec 19. There is a specific list of needs. Thank you. If you bring the item early, please give to Darby to take home. (We can’t keep any food items at the MAC) This is for your fun activity that day!! 


COMPETITION TEAM:


PLEASE GO ON AND UPDATE ALL GOOGLE SHEETS FOR TOURNAMENTS. The reason this is important is two-fold. 1) we need to know how many hotel rooms to get for a room block, so you just need to indicate what you plan to do, attend or not 2) entries are typically due in the system a month before, so coaches need to plan, to know who is attending, etc for entries and speed groups


We will be having our very own MOCK SPEED TOURNAMENT on January 18 at the RCC during our normal practice times. All competition members will be wearing their uniforms and competing. Thank you to Chris Morgan and Neil Maldanado for taking their time to manually build a competition and a heat sheet (from the information I input), and Suna for organizing all the judges and figuring out the timing for the day. It is quite a feat to hold a tournament in 3 hours! Sign up HERE.


JR COACHING:

Thank you for letting me know your availability. Since classes do not start until Jan 6 or 7. A lot of people have not registered. This is usual. These are the days you asked to coach. Plan on being there that day, and if we need to adjust after the first week, we will. Right now:

Tuesday coaches: Alyssa, Jessica, Eliza, Lily, Emery, Michelle, Phoebe, Riley

Wednesday coaches: Darby, Cora, Annie, Claire, Julia, Emily, Cora, Kaitlyn, Jasmine, Alex


TIME CHANGES JANUARY TO MARCH:

  • Mon Jan 5 - our practices change to 4-6 pm on Mondays. 

  • Mon Jan 26 - competition team joins on Mondays, so it becomes travel and comp team practices on Mondays for the rest of year

  • Thurs Jan 8 - competition team time changes to 4-6 pm. 


PARENTS, NEED SERVICE HOURS?


  • OPTION 1: Classes start Jan 6 and Jan 7. Need 2 parents 4:30-6:30 both nights, sign up HERE. 

  • OPTION 2: Also, on Sunday Feb 1 from 11am-2pm. NLCC HCRP is hosting Women In Sports Day. We can not support having a show there. But we wanted to man a table to hand out our information on classes and summer camp. There are 1 hour time slots. Coach Nicole will go there to set it all up. You just man the table, hand out info. If you want to bring your laptop and have it set to show our website, that would be awesome.  So this is for PARENTS ONLY. Or if a high school jumper needs service hours, you are more than welcome to man the table, sign up HERE. If you have questions about this, let Coach Nicole know. 


SHOWS: IT IS TIME TO CHECK THE JANUARY CALENDAR AND SIGN UP - ESPECIALLY FOR HALFTIME SHOWS! WE ARE ALREADY PRACTICING FOR THEM. PLEASE, PLEASE go through the show list and sign up now. Thank you. 




THE GOOD NEWS

Since we all need good news, I am putting a section in the newsletter about good things. Positive feedback that I hear that doesn’t always get passed down to everyone. 


  1. The travel team did a show/learning experience for the soldiers on Dec 7. I received 3 emails of praise for the show. They even said they are sending the photos internally in their newsletter because it was just such an amazing time for all of them, and they were so grateful!

  2. The competition team went after practice and taught scouts in an interactive fitness night. The parent in charge, came up to me and said. These are the most positive young people I have ever seen. They are making all our scouts feel really good and successful. You can tell they really love what they are doing.
