Wednesday Update, 5/13/26

Hello-

TRAVEL TEAM:

NO TRAVEL TEAM PRACTICE Friday, May 15.


The majority of the travel team will be headed to North Carolina for a competition. So no practice, enjoy your day off or traveling.


PERFORMING TEAM:

Last practice is Wednesday, June 10.

WE NEED 1 Parent to stay at this practice. Coach Tori, and Coach Nicole will both be out of town this day. So we need 1 adult to stay at this practice to make sure this can happen. 


Please contact me for information. This counts as service hours. 


EVERYONE:

End-of-Year picnic celebration will be 6-12-26 at 6 pm at the pavilion behind MAC. 

Picnic is for jumpers, parents and siblings. It’s a family activity! 

We will celebrate our high school seniors, coaches/junior coaches, introduce/vote board members in for the next year, and have food and fun!


We have one new show. The Maryland Special Olympics. This is an awesome experience if you have never attended. The athletes have actually already sent me emails asking if we are coming again. They comment on a lot of our social media posts. They want to take photos with our jumpers. They expect us to come and be there for their event. Please talk with your jumper about what the special olympics is, if they do not know. 

It is held at Towson, and will be inside. 

We perform, then turn ropes for the athletes. Many parents are needed to hold ropes around the edge to create a border for us to jump in. 

I will add more info to the sign up genius as I get it, but wanted to get this on your calendars asap. 

You are welcome to look at photos from last years event to help you see how parents help and that we jump on the carpeted inside. 


SHOWS

5-30-26 CF Walk at Centennial Park (Travel and Performing Team) arrive noon, perform 12:30 


6-2-26 Tues end of class shows.


6-3-26 Wed end of class shows


6-13-26 Perf and Travel Team, MD Special Olympics held at Towson


Adventure Park at Sandy Spring  June 25th.

Final payment is due June 7th.


RAFFLE ITEMS: 

We have had some donations and we are running a raffle between now and end of class shows on June 3. 

$1 per ticket, for every $5 spent you get 1 extra ticket

You can buy the tickets at practices from Coach Nicole or prepay here and then she will give your jumper the tickets to drop in the box of the item they are hoping to win. 


UPDATE ABOUT THE MAC FACILITY:

There is a woman's, a man's, and a family bathroom at the MAC. The family bathroom, is that one large one. It will be closed for the next 2 months. They will be doing construction work, Mon-Fri 6:30am-2:30 pm on that bathroom. They will be removing the wall, and going into the closet space, and making the bathroom larger, to put in a adult sized changing station to be ADA compliant. Since this project may run a long time, they will open the “staff bathroom” where , and let that be a family bathroom. 

And the good note, when he saw our storage area in the back of the closet, the supervisor said, wow your area looks so good. I don’t need to tell you all anything about all your stuff. :)
