THANK YOU TO LESLIE SILVERMAN (mom of Tess who is a senior, and Jed who is a Lifetime Member) for organizing all these restaurant nights! WE WILL NEED SOMEONE TO FULFILL THIS POSITION NEXT SCHOOL YEAR. If you think this might be a good fit for you, work from home, organize the restaurants, send an email with your information to vicepresident@kangarookids.org Megan Davis. We would love for you to talk with Leslie and get any ideas or plans or  suggestions from her. When you see Leslie, tell her thank you for the years of organizing all these restaurant nights! It has been amazing support for the Kangaroo Kids!

SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION BEGINS 2/4/26

Kangaroo Kids offer 2 summer camps over the summer. July 6-10 at MAC,  and Aug 3-7 at NLCC. Hours for campers 9-1 and 1-4 or 9-4. Coaches arrive by 8:30 am.  Camps are great for those on performing team and in our class programs. We highly encourage those on performing team to attend. To keep up their jump rope skills, and to help build their skills with a week long practice session.

If you have been on travel team for 2 years or more, you can sign up to coach at summer camps. We try to use everyone who wants to coach. But we must follow a budget and a ratio of coaches to jumpers that register. (Signing up does not guarantee work, but we try very hard to use you all, the schedule will come out at a later date)

So fill out this form: Write your name and if you want to coach AM camp, PM camp or FULL day

If you have been on travel team for 1 year. And want to volunteer your time at one of our camps. Please fill out this survey. We can not guarantee you can help, until we see how the numbers are at camp, but would like to know who is available. So we will contact you later, thank you for considering volunteering your time.

  3. Nationals registration is open now.

  4. We are having our own fundraising show. Please sign up to come to the show on 3/5. We will teach jump rope for 45 mins then show for 15 minutes. This money raised from this show will pay for our Nationals tshirts we make for Buffalo! So sign up, come support!

Update about Nationals:

Competition Gym Climate Information

The Nationals Planning Committee recently learned that the competition gym does not have air conditioning. However, Buffalo State University is able to draw in cooler night air to help reduce temperatures in the gym overnight. The facility is also equipped with LED lighting, which helps limit heat buildup and maintain a more moderate indoor temperature. In addition, we are working with local AC rental companies in Buffalo to provide supplemental cooling for both the athlete warm-up area and the judges’ area.

Average June temperatures in Buffalo are as follows:

Average highs: 75°F–80°F (24°C–27°C)

Average lows: 55°F–60°F (13°C–16°C)
