Hello-
Tomorrow night 4:30-6:30 all coaches and jr coaches are meeting at the MAC to get ready for the year! See you there! This Sunday we begin competition team and Monday we begin travel team! Our Classes start Tuesday Sept 9 and Wednesday the 10th. Please let people know about our program. Especially the Wednesday beginner classes, they need more participants.
IF YOU HAVE SOCIAL MEDIA. MAKE SURE YOU ARE FOLLOWING OUR FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM PAGES. Did you know our Facebook page is monetized? Please click like on every post, it is a small way we gain some very little income. It is super easy to do as you are scrolling along.

Reminder, you may know everyone on the team already, but we do have 11 new performing team members, and they are looking to connect. So if you have info you want to share, please do. Want to connect with other jumpers? Other parents? See who might live near you to help get rides to/from practices? Fill this out. Only share information you feel comfortable to share. Once information is received by you, it will be made shareable to those who participated. This is optional to participate in.
GENERAL PARENT BOARD MEETING:
Each month Kangaroo Kids holds a board meeting online. We encourage everyone in the program to log on. You can see how the program is run, see the Board in action, what is happening, how funds are used, how to help in upcoming events, how the year shapes out, etc. They are usually the 3rd or 4th Thursday of the month. FIRST ONE THIS YEAR: SEPTEMBER 25 at 7:15 pm. Log on HERE.
FALL FESTIVAL:
KANGAROO KIDS WILL BE HOSTING OUR FALL FESTIVAL ON Nov 8, 2025. Performing Team we do expect everyone to sign up for the day to learn more jump rope, more information coming soon! Travel Team, we will be talking with you soon to see how you can help out! Competition Team members, we expect all of you to sign up to attend as well.

09-05-25 (Fri) PERFORMING AND TRAVEL TEAM: Manor Woods Elem, arrive at 5:30 pm. THIS SIGN UP CLOSES TONIGHT. PLEASE SIGN UP HERE BEFORE IT CLOSES. (if you are new to performing team, you are excused for this one, as you do not have a uniform, if you are on performing team, moving to travel, please sign up, and wear your perf team uniform one more time for this show)
10-04-25: Performing Team and Travel Team: this is the NLCC Fall Festival. The time is 11a-3p. I do not know our scheduled performance time yet. PLUS we have interactive booths the whole time. This means you come and turn ropes for people coming by to see what Kangaroo Kids has to offer. Sign up will be out once HCRP lets us know our performance time. But please keep some time open on this date to attend.
10-18-25 Performing Team and Travel Team: College Park Day! Drive to the parking garage near the Aviation Museum in College Park by 1:30 to walk and meet us by 1:45 next to the stage, sign up HERE.
10-31-25 (No travel team practice this evening) TRAVEL TEAM ONLY SHOW:
This is NOT your typical show. No parental help needed. We arrive at 1:30 and teach a workshop to approx 20 K-5th graders from 2-3 pm. It will be like teaching our one hour classes. Please sign up it will be fun! (Some showing of routines in between teaching will happen). Sign up HERE.
11-30-25 Performing and Travel Team: Festival of Trees! Warm up begins at 11:30 (plan to park around 11 to walk in) This is a ticketed event, we will ask for sign ups to get the tickets, more info to come.
